Third Lanark Football Club will be fielding an under 14 team in the Glasgow & District Youth League from the start of this season, coached by Tony McNally.
Their home games will be played at the Barlia Sports Complex and play in the Glasgow Cup this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Pop along if you can and support our new youth team!
The side will also be looking for new players next season, from age 10 - 14 for new teams,so if you have a budding Dave Hilley or Jocky Henderson at home, now is the time to don the famous red shirt of 3rd Lanark! We are also looking for sponsors to get involved, so please get in touch if you would like to see our youth sides progress and grow over the coming seasons. After a few false starts we are all very excited about this new dawn of the famous Hi Hi's. Investing in youth football is clearly the best way of rebuilding our beloved club and we are thrilled that these boys will be sporting the 3rds crest on their jerseys. We will keep you updated on their progress throughout the season.
This coming Monday, the 9th of August 2010, Thirds historian Bob Laird will be displaying his collection of photographs, films and memorabilia from Cathkin's glory years at the Queens Park Social Club, from 6 - 9pm. The QPSC can be found next to Lesser Hampden in Summerville Road. Bob has hinted that this will be the 12th and last time these prized artefacts will be on show, so please come along and have a look...c u there!
